Prostatic Artery Embolization (PAE)

Prostatic Artery Embolization(PAE) is an advanced, minimally invasive treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It offers a safe and effective alternative to surgery for men experiencing urinary issues caused by an enlarged prostate.
Benefits of PAE
Minimally Invasive
No surgery, less pain, and faster recovery
Preserves Sexual Function
Lower risk of erectiledys function compared to traditional surgery
Outpatient Procedure
Most patients return home the same day
Effective in Reducing Symptoms
Improves urinary flow and reduces prostate size
No General Anesthesia Required
Performed under local anesthesia
Procedure Overview
A tiny catheter is inserted into the femoral or radial artery and guided to the prostate’s blood supply. Small particles are injected to reduce blood flow, shrinking the prostate over time.
Recovery & After care
Patients typically experience symptom relief within a few weeks. Mild discomfort or urinary frequency may occur temporarily but resolves with time.
